Started in 1998, the thinning operation has been growing for the past 10 years. To date, 16,000 hectares have been thinned. We are hoping to further expand the thinning division of Dorsey Contracting in the future.

The thinning operation of Dorsey Contracting has had great reviews since it's inception in 1998. The quality for both roadside brushing and pre commercial thinning has been exceptional. All our annual thinners are motivated by block quality, an attitude that is passed down to any new thinners with the company. Most of our thinners are experienced, and return annually, though we occasionally hire both new experienced and inexperienced thinners.
